Bruce Fellowes, Head of GCS Training, said:

“I am pleased that the College is again able to offer a range of courses, fully funded for those living and/or working in the City and County of Swansea. Last year the Shared Prosperity Fund enabled over two thousand individuals in Swansea to access training and gain new skills, to either improve their job prospects or be more skilled in their current job. We hope to upskill more individuals over the next six months to further improve the skills of the people in Swansea.”

Geraint, who undertook a NEBOSH Managing Risks and Risk Assessment course as part of the initiative, added:

“This course improved my skills in my role working in work-based learning. This is a recognised course which will be good to develop my career. I learnt when and how to implement risk assessments and found it interesting learning how risk assessments variates to different industries.”
