Overview
Our Level 1 in Counselling Skills and Strategies is an engaging and introductory course designed for those interested in exploring the field of counselling.
This course provides you with a basic introduction into the field of counselling and is ideal for individuals looking to acquire fundamental counselling skills and strategies that can be applied in various settings.
Key information
There are no entry requirements required for this course.
Face to face delivery (Wednesday 6pm-8pm).
Assessment is via role play/simulation/workbook completion.
After completing this course, you could progress onto Level 2 Diploma in Skills for Further Study, or if you successfully complete an entry assessment you can progress straight to Access to Counselling Skills and Psychology.
As a student, you will learn about:
- Different helping strategies
- The responsibilities, skills and attitudes of counsellors
- Using questioning and listening skills
- Understanding the use of counselling in different settings
- Cost of the course: £50.
