Entry Requirements

By interview - some prior engineering/welding experience would be beneficial but not mandatory.

Course Delivery

The course will take the student through the underpinning knowledge required to weld.

The course is classroom based with a heavy accent on practical delivery. It is assessed by observation and specific industry standard practical assessments. There are no external examinations - all tasks are assessed in a controlled workshop environment.

During the course students will be exposed to the very latest SMART technologies in the sector.

Progression Opportunities

There is a shortage of engineers in the industry so this course can lead to introduction into a career in the sector.
