You will be working in our specialist industry standard engineering workshops, working on the latest welding equipment and learning new processes.

By interview - some prior engineering/welding experience would be beneficial but not mandatory.
The course will take the student through the underpinning knowledge required to weld.
The course is classroom based with a heavy accent on practical delivery. It is assessed by observation and specific industry standard practical assessments. There are no external examinations - all tasks are assessed in a controlled workshop environment.
During the course students will be exposed to the very latest SMART technologies in the sector.
There is a shortage of engineers in the industry so this course can lead to introduction into a career in the sector.
There are opportunities to enter employment in the welding sector. There would also be possibilities to take a level three qualification in this discipline.
There are some opportunities for work experience, these will be discussed during the learning program.
