Nathaniel heads to 'top of the class'

Kick Start student Nathaniel Parker has steadily made his way to ‘top in the class’ at the Gorseinon campus.

Students enjoy a Frosty Friday

Gowerton pupils taking part in the Kick Start Programme at Gower College Swansea held a Frosty Friday at the Gorseinon campus - selling Joe's ice cream as part of their Enterprise qualification.

“This was an opportunity for the pupils to put their theory into action," says lecturer Lucy Turtle, who organised the event alongside Kick Start Ambassador Curtis Cana. "They had put an awful lot of planning into this - creating a business plan, carrying out market research and working out the amount of profit they can make for Gowerton School.”

Hot dog dinner raises money for animal charity

Bishop Gore School pupils organised a recent enterprise event at Gower College Swansea as part of their Kick Start qualification.

The concept behind 'Hot Diggity Dog' was to make and sell hot dogs to staff and students at the Tycoch campus in order to raise money for Llys Nini Animal Centre.

Kick Start students explore sporting opportunities

Dylan Thomas Community School students have been treated to a football session as a reward for completing their Kick Start qualification at Gower College Swansea’s Tycoch campus.

Sport lecturer Andrew Stokes gave the students an insight into various sports courses and the career opportunities that could follow.
