Overview
Awarding body: To be confirmed
Business runs everything and people who understand how it works are in demand in every sector, from finance and marketing to operations and human resources. This two-year Higher National Diploma (HND) gives you the foundations to enter management-level roles or progress to a full BA Business Management degree.
An added benefit is the option to study towards the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification at no extra cost (worth £1000-£2000). This significant benefit means that you can leave with both a Higher National Diploma (HND) and a nationally recognised accountancy credential that employers value.
Whether you're coming straight from A levels or Vocational qualifications, Access to HE, or returning to education after time in work, this programme will open opportunities across a range of sectors.
You’ll be taught in small, interactive groups in Sketty Hall Business School by experienced lecturers. Your assessment prepares you for the working world by building your learning around realistic projects, as well as working on live work-based assignments with local employers. See how Gower HND Business Management students developed business solutions for Dawsons and McDonalds franchises in Fforestfach and Penllergaer: HND Business Management | Working with Industry.
Graduates from this programme have gone on to work for Deloitte, Bevan and Buckland, Mazuma Accounting, and Canada Lodge and Lake (Luxury Hotel).
