Key information
- Minimum of four GCSEs grade C or above including Mathematics, English Language and preferably Science, or equivalent Essential Skills Wales qualifications
- Applicants whose first language is not English will need to have an ESOL Level 2 qualification
- Applicants will be required to complete an initial literacy assessment and attend an interview
- This course is ideal for motivated learners with a passion for beauty and a desire to build strong practical and professional foundations.
You will attend college for 17 hours per week.
Continuous practical assessment, exams and written assignments.
Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Treatments or Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing.
Employment in the industry as a junior therapist in a professional salon or self-employment.
Learners are required to purchase a kit and uniform as part of their course. Costs will be confirmed during the interview (funding may be available).
This qualification is based on the beauty therapy National Occupational Standards (NOS) and is recognised by the UK's leading professional association, the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (BABTAC) as being fit for purpose for preparing you for a career as a beauty therapist. Holders of this qualification are eligible to become a professional member of BABTAC.
