Updated 27/03/2023

Gower College Swansea lecturer Kiran Jones is heading to the BETT 2023 exhibition as a keynote speaker.

Taking place at ExCel London from 29-31 March, Bett 2023 is the biggest education technology exhibition in the world.

Kiran, who teaches Computing, IT and Esports at the Tycoch campus as well as overseeing the social media accounts for the College’s wildly successful GCS Owls, will participate in the Level Up in Esports Education discussion on 30 March.

As one of the first colleges in the UK to run the Esports course, Kiran will discuss its teaching, learning and assessment elements. He will also talk about the funding available in Wales for Esports training.

The importance of working partnerships will also feature in Kiran’s talk, specifically the links the College has made with Esports Wales and other pro competitions, Williams F1 Esports and the British Esports Student Racing League.

“I’m really looking forward to being able to share my experiences with fellow lecturers and industry specialists and gain new contacts to develop the course even further,” says Kiran.
