Important information on the collection of certificates (BTEC, City & Guilds etc)

CERTIFICATES: BTEC / CITY & GUILDS / EAL / VTCT / CACHE / NCFE / IFS

Certificates for many awarding bodies will be available shortly for collection from the college (see the end of this notice for specific details). A card will be posted to you detailing the collection times and informing you of the collection processes. The cards will read as follows:

NB: All students who receive a postcard notifying that their certificates are ready for collection MUST bring the card in to claim the certificate.

Tycoch campus
Your certificate(s) are now in college and available for collection from the main Reception desk (please see times below). You will need to bring this card and some photographic ID as proof of your identity, on arrival please give details of what certificates you are expecting. If someone is collecting on your behalf then you must give them a signed letter of authorisation and they must produce proof of their identification.

The college keep certificates for a maximum of 12 months, they are then destroyed in accordance with exam board regulations. If you cannot come to college and wish us to send it to you, we will do this on receipt of £1 to cover the cost of postage, packing and registration. Please include your name and address (i.e. this card) and make any cheques payable to ‘Gower College Swansea’. Please note your student ID and/or bank details on the reverse side of the cheque. The college does not take responsibility for the loss of any certificates once posted. If you would like us to send you your certificate by recorded delivery then we can do this for the increased postage charge of £2.50 - please indicate this on your correspondence request as detailed above.

The collection times are:
Term time:
15:00 – 16:00 Monday and Wednesday
15:00 – 20:30 Tuesday and Thursday

Half term:
09:00 – 16:00 Monday - Thursday

The college will be closed between 19 December 2015 and 4 January 2016.

Gorseinon campus
Your certificate(s) are now in college and available for collection from the college's Examinations Office. You will need to bring your card and some photographic ID as proof of your identity, also please give details of what certificates you are expecting. If someone is collecting on your behalf then you must give them a signed letter of authorisation and they must produce photographic proof of their identification.

The college keeps certificates for a maximum of 12 months, they are then destroyed in accordance with exam board regulations. Alternatively, you can ring 01792 890780 and arrange for your certificate(s) to be held at Reception for you to collect during the afternoons (the college is now closed each evening). The collection times are:

Term time only:
9.30am –12.30pm Monday - Thursday

There will be no collections during May and June whilst examinations are being held, also no collections from 17 August - last week of September due to results / post-results enquiries.

The college will be closed between 19 December 2015 and 4 January 2016.

AS and A Level, including GCSE certificates, will be available towards the end of November and students will be informed when these are available for collection.

Information regarding the ESOL Skills for Life certificates will be available to students early next month and collection will be from the Llwyn y Bryn reception desk.

Agored certificates will shortly be posted to home addesses.

Agored Access courses' certificates are available for collection from the college.
