Another successful debate session for our students at Gorseinon Campus, Gower College Swansea. MixUp! is a digital platform initiative, to debate a series of topics with each event focusing on a specific theme, with the latest being Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
“The MixUp! platform is developed for easy, low-threshold use. With as little barriers as possible, participating students from all over Europe can engage in meaningful conversation with their peers on important societal topics.” MixUp Handbook
They engaged with peers from all around Europe with varied views which was very intriguing to our students. MixUp! aims to be an innovation in civic education and online dialogue between European students.
Local and International students from Gower College Swansea who took part described the experience as interesting as you can speak to peers who you normally would not have the chance to communicate with.
The next theme day will be on Coexistence in Peace. Watch this space as students collaborate again in May!
