Music students perform at Mumbles festival

A Level Music students from Gower College Swansea took to the stage as part of the recent Mumbles Festival of Music and the Arts.

Their Rising Stars recital, which took place at the beautiful All Saint’s Church at Oystermouth, saw solo performances of a selection of pieces including Leonard Bernstein’s Maria, Gilbert and Sullivan’s Poor Wand’ring One, and Mozart’s Deh Vieni, non Tardar.

“This was a great opportunity for our students to support a fantastic local community event and showcase their musical and singing talents to an appreciative audience,” says Curriculum Leader Jonathan Rogers.

The performers were:

• Ryan Evans – baritone
• Elliot Harrington – baritone horn
• Penelope George – soprano
• Lucy Lee – flute
• Ben Perkins – clarinet
• Katherine Foxall – soprano
