National success for netball students

For the second consecutive year, a netball team comprising Gower College Swansea students is celebrating national success after taking part in the recent Urdd Netball competitions in Cardiff.

In the quarter finals the team won 19-10 against Cardiff High before beating NPTC 4-8 in the semi-final. In the final round, the score was 14-8 against the Haberdashers.

"We are very proud of the team’s success," says Bilingual Officer Anna Davies. "This reflects the hard work of our staff and students in taking part in a competition that strengthens the Welsh language in the world of sports. Huge congratulations to the girls!"
