Using a human figure as the observational starting point, you will be encouraged to develop an understanding of how to apply in tone, line and form. Each lesson will begin with a series of warm up poses (ranging from five minutes to 15 minutes), which will then be developed into longer more structured poses in which specific techniques can then be applied.
Life drawing is a fundamental starting point from which to develop further creative skills so this course if for anyone with a keen interest in art and design. This course is delivered in the drawing studio at Llwyn y Bryn which is fully equipped with easels and drawing materials.
No previous experience necessary, just an interest in the subject area. Learners would benefit from attending each term to build skills in preparation for the term two and term three courses, although this is not a barrier to attending each term as a standalone course.
This course is delivered in the art and design studios at the Llwyn y Bryn campus. During the course learners will complete a booklet of outcomes. This is assessed in order to certificate for the qualification.
