Course Overview
This two-year course is ideal for those who wish to study financial services, marketing and business management.
It offers students the opportunity to study a number of business functions including marketing, HR and management with an emphasis on finance (exams are included for some units.)

- Recruitment and selection process
- Developing a marketing campaign
- Personal and business finance
- Principles of management
This course includes the professional qualification of the London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF) which gives an excellent introduction to the area of financial services and advice.

Entry Requirements
Five GCSEs at grade C or above including maths and English, or a merit profile in Business and Administration (L2 Certificate) or Business (L2 Diploma) including grade C GCSE maths and English.
Course Delivery
The course is assessed by vocationally relevant continuous assessment, written assignment, individual investigation, on-line examination and written examinations.
* LIBF qualifications are exam based and will require a pass at Certificate level in order to progress to Diploma level.
Classroom hours are 20 per week. All Level 3 courses will require considerable extra work outside of classroom time.

Progression Opportunities
Progression to university and opportunities up to and including trainee management programmes in the banking, retail and insurance industries. This course also develops skills for starting up a small business.
HE courses taught at Gower College Swansea which you can progress to include the HND Business Management or the Foundation Degree in Events Management
Additional Information
Year 2 students all participate in a UK/International visit which is funded by the student.
