Course Overview
On this one year course you will develop an understanding of the health and social care sector. Learners will also complete the Level 2 Health and Social Care Core Qualification alongside this qualification.
Areas of study include:
- Principles and values
- Safeguarding
- Health and safety
- Health and wellbeing, learning and development
- Professional practice.
You will also study literacy, numeracy and essential skills and will be required to undertake work placements in residential and nursing care, family centres and voluntary organisations.
Elements of this course can be delivered through the medium of Welsh.

Entry Requirements
Two GCSEs at grade C (English preferred) and additional D grades or a Level 1 course with 90% attendance and supported by a placement. You must complete a DBS prior to enrolling on the course. Cost is approximately £40.
