This one-year course is an introduction to the roles that exist within the IT industry. Areas of study include:
- Solving IT technical problems
- Creating websites
- Creating computer programs
- Developing digital products
- Developing multimedia
You will also develop key skills such as communication, team working and leadership that will help you when seeking employment.

Entry requirements are traditionally four E grades at GCSE but applicants will also need an interview.
The course is assessed by the completion of appropriate projects and practical observation. Classroom hours are 20 hours per week.
Students who have successfully completed this course can progress to Level 2 BTEC Information and Creative Technology.
