An evening to remember: Gower College Swansea Annual Student Awards 2023

Students and staff from Gower College Swansea have celebrated yet another year of academic and vocational excellence. Firm favourite Kev Johns MBE returned to the stage at Stadium to host the evening, where learners from a range of full and part time courses, apprenticeships, higher education pathways, access courses and employability support programmes picked up awards.

Swansea city centre was buzzing with excitement on Father's Day as Krazy Races took over the streets. The event, sponsored by Gower College Swansea, was Swansea’s first soapbox Derby, and saw participants in outrageous fancy dress and whizzing around the city streets in homemade soapbox carts.

Our AS Government and Politics students recently visited London where they took in some very famous sights. It was an action-packed day. Setting off from Swansea at 5.30am, the students visited the UK Supreme Court and enjoyed a walking tour of Whitehall.

Urdd's Peace and Goodwill Message

This year the College has taken part in the Urdd's Peace and Goodwill Message which focuses on anti-racism.   It declares that there is no place for racism in the world, and if we see it, we must Call Them Out.
