Technoleg o bell yn helpu ymgeiswyr Rhydgrawnt

Mae myfyrwyr Safon Uwch o Goleg Gŵyr Abertawe wedi bod yn defnyddio technoleg i gadw i fyny â’u hastudiaethau yn ystod y cyfnod clo.

Yn ddiweddar, roedd grŵp o ryw 30 o fyfyrwyr, sy’n dilyn rhaglenni Seren a HE+ naill ai yn y Coleg neu mewn ysgolion uwchradd lleol, wedi cymryd rhan mewn gweithdy ar-lein a drefnwyd gan Gydlynydd Seren ac HE+ Abertawe, Fiona Beresford, oedd yn cynnwys y siaradwr gwadd Lewis Devonald, myfyriwr sydd wedi graddio’n ddiweddar mewn Hanes Modern o Goleg Lincoln, Rhydychen.

Remote technology helps Oxbridge hopefuls

A Level students from Gower College Swansea have been using technology to keep up with their studies during lockdown.

One group of approximately 30 students, who are following the Seren and HE+ programmes either at the College or in local secondary schools, recently took part in an online workshop organised by Swansea Seren and HE+ Coordinator Fiona Beresford and featuring guest speaker Lewis Devonald, a recent Modern History graduate from Lincoln College, Oxford.

Coleg yn lansio HE+ ac Academi Seren ar gyfer 2019

Mae Coleg Gŵyr Abertawe wedi croesawu dros 400 o ddysgwyr i Gampws Gorseinon ar gyfer lansio rhaglen HE+ ac Academi Seren 2019/20.

Coleg Gŵyr Abertawe, ar wahoddiad, ac ar y cyd â Phrifysgol Caergrawnt, yw’r prif sefydliad o fewn Consortiwm HE+ Abertawe, sy’n gweithio gyda’r saith ysgol wladol chweched dosbarth yn Ninas a Sir Abertawe.

Yn ystod y lansiad eleni, roedd myfyrwyr o’r Coleg a’r ysgolion wedi gwrando ar anerchiad croeso gan Fiona Beresford, Cydlynydd HE+ a Seren Abertawe, a Dr Jonathan Padley, Cymrawd a Thiwtor Derbyn yng Ngholeg Churchill, Caergrawnt.

College launches HE+ and Seren Academy for 2019

Gower College Swansea has welcomed over 400 learners to the Gorseinon campus for the launch of the HE+ programme and Seren Academy for 2019/20.

Gower College Swansea, at the invitation of and in collaboration with, the University of Cambridge, is the ‘hub’ institution in the Swansea HE+ Consortium, working with the seven state sixth-form schools in the City and County of Swansea.

Annog disgyblion i ‘anelu’n uchel’ mewn digwyddiad Coleg

Yn ddiweddar, trefnodd Coleg Gŵyr Abertawe ddigwyddiad arbennig i ddisgyblion Blwyddyn 10 o ysgolion uwchradd ar draws Abertawe.

Roedd lansiad rhaglen Sylfaen Seren yn Stadiwm Liberty wedi rhoi cyfle i bron 400 o bobl ifanc ddysgu rhagor am yr amrywiaeth o ddewisiadau addysg uwch y gallent eu harchwilio ar ôl cwblhau eu cyrsiau Safon Uwch.

Pupils encouraged to ‘aim high’ at College event

Gower College Swansea recently organised a special event for Year 10 pupils from secondary schools across Swansea.

The launch of the Welsh Government’s Seren Foundation programme at the Liberty Stadium enabled almost 400 young people to find out more about the range of higher education options they could explore after they complete their A Levels.
