Get Started in Plumbing 
Overview
The plumbing evening course will help you gain an awareness of the knowledge and skills required to begin a career in the plumbing industry. The primary focus of the course will be basic hand skills and rectification of common domestic faults.
The structure of the course is flexible and can be tailored to meet the needs and expectations of the learners, but limitations will be placed on the scope of delivery due to legal requirements.
Learners will perform basic pipe assembly using a range of common plumbing fittings. Learners will also perform basic maintenance tasks on appliances.

There are no formal entry requirements.
The course delivery will predominantly take place within a workshop setting, but specific elements may be taught in a classrooms with ICT access.
- Level 1 Diploma in Building Services Studies – Plumbing and Electrical - Full-time
- Level 2 Foundation in Building Services Engineering - Plumbing & Electrical - Full-time
Learners will need to wear suitable work wear and safety boots/shoes in workshops.
