Course Overview
On this course you will develop your practical skills further by preparing and cooking classic and contemporary cuisine for the training restaurant. You will undertake practical sessions to develop your customer service and food service skills.
You will also study maths, English, digital literacy and employability through our skills for catering programme.
A work placement is included.

Entry Requirements
A Level 1 Diploma in Professional Cookery at Merit or above or an equivalent hospitality and catering qualification. Commitment, enthusiasm and the ability to work with others is essential.
Course Delivery
The course is assessed by written assignments, short answer tests, an online test, practical assessments and practical synoptic tests.
Progression Opportunities
The Level 2 Diploma is valued by employers and there are employment opportunities in general hospitality, food preparation and cooking.
