Former student scoops National Theatre bursary
Former Gower College Swansea student Anna Jenkins has been awarded a prestigious bursary by the National Theatre. The NT/Dingmans Stage Management Bursary is awarded every year to a newly graduated stage manager and recipients receive a paid placement at the National Theatre.07

Dylan Thomas Prize-shortlisted writers visit college
A Level English students at the Gorseinon campus were delighted this week to meet up with two Dylan Thomas Prize-shortlisted writers. "It was fantastic to welcome both Eimear McBride and Kseniya Melnik to the college where they spent an hour with the students talking about their work and the writing process," says lecturer Sally Llewellyn.03

Geography students visit the Jurassic Coast
A Level Geography students recently enjoyed a two day residential field visit to the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. The World Heritage Site boasts some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in the British Isles and forms the basis of many of the case studies needed for the A2 examination.31

Special graduation event for college's HE students
Around 80 Higher Education students from Gower College Swansea recently attended a graduation event at the National Waterfront Museum. The students were celebrating achievement in subjects as diverse as accountancy, engineering, leadership and management, sports massage therapies, hair and beauty management, childcare, and health and social care services.31
