Festive performance rounds off successful year for students

Performing Arts and Theatre Production Arts students at Gower College Swansea have rounded off another successful year with a wonderfully festive performance of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

Over nine days, the students performed 20 shows to an audience of almost 2000 people. These included three public performances (which completely sold out) plus special matinees for eight local primary schools, two comprehensive schools and a staff Christmas party.

Acting brothers return with audition tips

Two former Performing Arts students have returned to Gower College Swansea to share some words of wisdom.

Brothers Amukelani (Kel) and Anthony Matsena visited the Gorseinon Campus to meet with current student and discuss their experiences of auditioning and competing for places at specialist drama colleges.

Kel has just embarked on his final year at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School while Anthony, a recent graduate of the London Contemporary Dance School, is a Young Associate at Sadler’s Wells Theatre.
