Llwyddiant ysgoloriaeth i fyfyriwr Rhyngwladol

Mae Jarrett Zhang yn dathlu ar ôl cael ysgoloriaeth £180,000 gan gwmni mwyngloddio Rio Tinto i astudio Daeareg yng Ngholeg Imperial Llundain.

Bydd Jarrett, a gafodd dwy radd A* ac un A yn ei arholiadau Safon Uwch yn ddiweddar, yn derbyn £45,000 y flwyddyn dros gyfnod o bedair blynedd, i dalu am ffioedd dysgu a chostau byw. Cafodd ysgoloriaeth Rio Tinto ei roi i ddau fyfyriwr yn unig yn 2019 ac felly mae hyn yn gyflawniad gwych.

Roedd Jarrett hefyd wedi dathlu llwyddiant chwaraeon eleni pan enillodd bencampwriaethau tennis bwrdd Colegau Cymru 2019.

Scholarship success for International student

Jarrett Zhang is celebrating after being awarded a £180,000 scholarship from the Rio Tinto mining company to study Geology at Imperial College London.

Jarrett, who achieved two A* grades and one A in his recent A Level exams, will receive £45,000 per year, over a four-year period, to cover tuition fees and living expenses. The Rio Tinto scholarship was awarded to just two students in 2019 so this is a fantastic achievement.

Jarrett also celebrated sporting success this year when he won the 2019 Welsh Colleges table tennis championships.
