You will study four units (listed below). To successfully complete the course and progress, you must achieve all four units at a Level 2 and have 80% or above attendance:
- Returning to adult learning
- Introduction to essay writing
- Numeracy in context
The course is assessed by an essay, a presentation and a portfolio of work that includes in-class timed assessments.
Students will be able to progress to a Level 3 programme within the college, primarily an Access to HE programme. Students who need more time to develop will be given the opportunity to study on the Adult Progression course either at Level 1 or at Level 2.
This course lasts 12 weeks (but is also offered on a 'fast track' basis which takes two weeks). It has four hours of study a week over one session (either Wednesday day or evening.)
