Gobaith am wobr i Sally sy’n esiampl i ferched ym myd gwyddoniaeth

Mae Sally Hughes yn edrych ymlaen at yrfa ddifyr gyda Tata Steel ym Mhort Talbot ac yn gobeithio ysbrydoli merched eraill i ddilyn gyrfa wyddonol.

Sally oedd yr unig ferch mewn grŵp o brentisiaid technegol a gychwynnodd gyda’r cwmni ym Mhort Talbot ym mis Medi 2016 a dywed na fu’n hawdd llwyddo mewn amgylchedd mor wrywaidd.

Fodd bynnag, mae’r ferch ifanc 19 oed o Bort Talbot yn benderfynol o gyflawni ei photensial trwy fanteisio ar bob cyfle a gaiff.

Shortlisted Sally is a science career role model at Tata Steel

Sally Hughes is on course for a rewarding career with Tata Steel in Port Talbot and hopes to inspire other young women to follow a science career pathway.

The only female in a group of technical apprentices recruited by the company in Port Talbot in September, 2016, she says it has not been easy to be successful within a male dominated environment.

However, the 19-year-old from Port Talbot is determined to reach her full potential by embracing all opportunities available to her.
